One ladder, each rung built on the one below.
- Level 0Not Ready
Missing the basics
- Level 1Basic Web Presence
robots.txt and a sitemap
- Level 2Bot-Aware

- Level 3Agent-Readable
Content agents can read cheaply
- Level 4Agent-Integrated

Most websites sit at Level 0 or 1 today. Fewer than one in twenty serve content agents can read directly, and only a handful publish a tool or API agents can discover.
- What does the check look at?
- Twenty-two open web standards on your site's origin, in five groups: discoverability (robots.txt, sitemap, Link headers, DNS discovery), content (Markdown on request), bot access (AI-crawler rules and Content Signals), protocols (MCP server card, API catalog, agent skills, OAuth discovery and more) and commerce (the emerging checkout and payment protocols, reported for shops only).
- What are the five levels?
- Level 0 Not Ready, 1 Basic Web Presence (robots.txt and a sitemap), 2 Bot-Aware (rules for AI crawlers), 3 Agent-Readable (content agents can read cheaply), 4 Agent-Integrated (tools or APIs agents can discover) and 5 Agent-Native (verified, authenticated agent access). Each level requires the ones below it.
- Does the check touch my site?
- It reads public URLs only: your homepage, robots.txt, your sitemap and a few well-known discovery paths, about 25 requests in total. Nothing is installed and nothing is written.
- How many checks can I run?
- Three per email address a day. The summary is shown on the page and emailed to you. The step-by-step fixes, monthly re-checks and competitor scans are part of Offloda.
