Security
The Slack app holds one scope: post messages to the channels you pick. It can't read your channel history, your DMs or your files. Alerts carry the same account data you'd see in a report, so treat the channel as the audience — one client per channel and the visibility takes care of itself. Every alert is written to the same record as everything else.
For agencies
Client comms already live in Slack — now the account tells you what it's doing there too. Point each client's channel at that client's brand and the pacing problem shows up where the conversation already is. Client-facing channels can take the digest without the alerts.
vs. a plain Slack webhook
